SOME SWEET MOMENTS HAPPENED THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING. My Dad arrived to six grandchildren who had eagerly awaiting his homecoming after a week in the hospital. They put some love into signs hung on the carport wall and even a flower arrangement collected from found items to offer my parents. Thanks for letting me share a bit of the happiness with you. Here is the scene that set the mood for our Thanksgiving weekend:

Jordan headed up the team of sign makers. This was the “main greeting” and she made sure that everyone signed it. I really appreciate her management of the sharpies while I cooked. No one ended up painted too badly!

The signs were all hung to welcome him home:

Grace and Alana did the rainbow sign. I just love the “We welcome you home” line at the bottom.

Drake drew a “Super Granddaddy” creation. Think he enjoys being around his Granddaddy?

William’s “Bird in a Tree” drawing:

Lydia’s rainbow card:

Flower creations by the girls – a found object creation they lovingly displayed in the flower pot. The bowls were made from a ball that Biscuit (our dog) had torn up and were filled with acorns, leaves, and flowers from the patio area.

Biscuit was excited to see her Granddaddy…no wait, I think she was just excited to be in the country running free. Skip the sentimentality in this photo!

Dad’s first view of the welcome signs:

William explains his bird:

Grace was so excited:

Mom and Dad – a few healing areas from the ports and other surgical procedures, but healing:

It was a great way to start the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and words of encouragement.
