Twitter job searches
WHAT’S THE USE OF TWITTER IN A JOB SEARCH? I conduct a great deal of my business conversations on Twitter. I have found it to be a great tool to increase my network of resources. Too often the impression non-tweeters have is that Twitter is for celebrity gossip and toothbrushing updates. Most people are surprised to find that Twitter (and honestly, many other forms of social media) can be used as an aid in a job search. I’ve collected a group of five articles or sites which discuss this topic. I think you’ll become much more appreciative of the power of 140 characters of text.

The most important thing to remember when using ANY social media tool is the “social” part of the equation. Twitter gives you direct access to owners and hiring managers in an immediate sense…but don’t ever forget the power of that first impression. Even digitally, you want to be remembered for all the right things.
