Once Grace brought home her pinch pot from school I realized that I had not documented William’s intaglio print which I am preparing to frame. Same art teacher gets the credit for teaching a great technique for making images. Again, I am amazed that she let them roll out the ink onto their master impressions…can you imagine guiding a class of third graders through the idea of reversed images and then ink application and stamping? As we all know, teachers simply do not get paid enough! Things like this prove it. Here is his masterpiece:

and then the initial art based upon Pokemon. I didn’t recognize the Pokeballs in the middle part, but was immediately met with a “Moooom” when I asked to have the art explained. I loved the detail regardless. Maybe my son will develop the next gamer’s addiction in the future. A mother can dream, right?
