IT WAS A SUNDAY NIGHT AND WE WERE GEARING DOWN FROM OUR WEEKEND FOR THE SCHOOL WEEK. I entered William’s bedroom last night to get him ready for bed. I was shocked to find a huge stack of books on his desk supporting this:

and I just had to laugh about how it swayed from bookcase to bookcase.

The funniest confirmation of our inner geek family personality was the type of books he stacked it upon — kind of a special science/science-fiction loving support tower:

 

His father saw it last night after William had already gone to sleep. Dave came back into the kitchen and said chuckling, “It’s not very stable.” That made *me* laugh at my dear husband…only another engineering type could look at something a child created and comment on the stability of it!
