Stayin’ Alive
DISCO MUSIC CAN SAVE LIVES At least if you can remember the song “Stayin’ Alive” by the Bee Gees you can use it to keep someone alive after a cardiac arrest. The American Heart Association has created a funny video to remind us of that point during CPR awareness month this June. It made me laugh so much that I wanted to pass it along to all of you. It stars Ken Jeong, M.D., star from The Hangover 2 and real-life doctor combines his comedic prowess with his medical training in a new Hands-Only CPR video which was made to help people remember what to do in a sudden cardiac arrest emergency.
70 percent of Americans feel helpless to act during a cardiac emergency.
80 percent of cardiac arrests happen at home.
That means that the life you save with CPR is most likely to be someone you love!
