UBISOFT HAS RECENTLY RELEASED THE BETA VERSION OF “HOUSE M.D. CRITICAL CASES” TO FACEBOOK.  I have to admit I was skeptical when give the chance to play the new online game. How could this game be as interesting as the popular show? Immediately my doubts were put to rest. While the game initiated Dr. House’s witty sarcasm appeared on my screen. I quickly saw the care placed upon the characters and scenarios presented.

As in the television show, cases are presented with mysterious situations and symptoms. You are encouraged to use logic and reasoning to solve the diagnosis and keep the hospital running. The search for clues, lab work, and diagnostics allow you to piece together an answer.

As I progressed through the game I gained additional responsibilities and requests. Believe it or not, they let me be a doctor at level 4. My only complaint with this genre of game is the fact that you are eventually asked to purchase energy credits or other tokens within the game using your credit card. My kids and I have a strict agreement that causes them to ask for permission before purchasing items online. (Particularly in-game/in-app purchases.) I enjoyed the game enough to be tempted, but would have shared the fun with more individuals if given more time in the game before this purchase request. I do realize this is the most common form of revenue for online games. It seemed that Ubisoft followed all the best practices in regards to this purchase opportunity.

I am not finished exploring the game and look forward to adding new colleagues to my staff. Join me in the fun if you think you can diagnose unique illnesses just like Dr. House.
