Amid the daily madness there are moments that make it all worthwhile.
Simple Summer
SUMMER SEASON ALLOWS US THE TIME TO ENJOY THINGS LIKE LATE BEDTIMES AND FAMILY. We’ve had a rather easy going summer around our household. I’ve tried to remember the importance of capturing some little moments as well as big ones. The first picture above is a tent canopy that William and Grace devised to camp under one night. They were so excited about that silly sheet.
The second photo going clockwise shows my parents with the kids while in Birmingham. My father had a medical appointment and we just drove over there for the day to enjoy eating a meal and teasing each other. The third photo shows our dog waiting by the fence for our gang. Our yard is next to the neighborhood pool and the dog could hear my husband and kids playing over the fence. Her dog tail just kept wagging the whole time waiting for them to come home.
Finally, the last picture is of William in the pool. I’ve tried to take them on a regular basis. At times I’d rather stay in the air conditioning, but I know they need to wear themselves out in the sun. I put my never-ending list down and then we go play together.
