WOULD YOU SHOP AT THE GOODWILL? DO YOU SHOP AT THRIFT AND CONSIGNMENT STORES? I was recently in one of the “better” shopping areas of town. It’s the part of town that we usually never see. I was there for a media event and once on my way home I saw this. I circled back around and decided to visit. Seeing a Goodwill Store right next to a high end sporting goods store and a wine tasting room — that was just too good to pass. Believe it or not, I didn’t buy a thing. I did decide to go back one day with cash in hand. Oh. My. Gracious. there were some nice things inside!

So where have you found great deals and discoveries? I’d love to know where your favorites are in your town.

I’VE NOT ALWAYS BEEN A GIRLY GIRL. I spent my playtime outdoors growing up. I did not choose the “MRS. Degree” when going to college because I was stubborn like that. When my college sweetheart (ironic, no?) and I got married I was determined to pick out china that represented “me”. (Hmmm, not sure why I wasn’t thinking “we” at that point, but this is what I remember.) So, when I found the Greek Key pattern called Palatia, I was in love with it. I loved that more than any flower pattern the wedding specialists tried to show me. I studied architecture and I thought (still do) that columns are awesome.

That’s why it shocked me so when my first daughter fell head over heels in love with Disney Princesses. Let the record show that she had four Arial halloween costumes over the years. I just heard about this Disney on Ice special from my friend Sue and she offered to share it with other Atlanta bloggers also. I wanted to pass it along to you in case your little girl loves Princesses as much as mine have. It should be a great show and I am looking forward to it.
